They say that the weather changes as you head up the mountains - today was no exception. When we started and finished we had sun & showers and it was quite pleasant, however, "on top" it was blowing a hoolie, with persistent rain and fog, not very nice at all!
The route today took us from Cwm Gwdi car park which is just north of Brecon, we then headed over Twyn Cil-rhew before climbing the north face of Pen Y Fan. From Pen Y Fan we headed over to Corn Du, then onto Tommy Jones Obelisk before heading down via Llyn Cwm Llwch and back to the car park.
The walk was 12.2km long with an ascent of 856m which took us just 3hrs 38mins, stats curtousy of Satmap GPS.
